About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Support Practitioner. Unlike other support roles, with Turning Point Scotland, no two days are the same! You will provide individualised support to each person and engage them with hobbies and interests to empower individuals to develop skills and independence.
About You
You will have a genuine commitment to use your skills to support people to live their best lives. You will have flexibility to work on a rota. You will be supported by an approachable management team, allowing you to expand on your existing knowledge whilst developing new skills.
We are a residential service and support people with mental health issues, physical health needs and learning disabilities. As a team we provide 24/7 support to help people live their best lives.
Where there is a requirement for sleepover shifts, you will receive on top of your £12.60 per hour an additional £100.80 for every sleepover shift you work.
Our Support Practitioner role will include:
* Helping to provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others as part of a team.
* Supporting individuals within the community and engaging with their hobbies and interests, empowering them to develop skills and independence.
* Attending various community groups and accompanying our service users to activities they are passionate about, such as cinema trips, morning swims, local groups or community projects, and accompanying on holidays and trips away with the individuals we support.
* Assist with personal care, ensuring comfort and wellbeing.
* Celebrate achievements and milestones to create a rewarding and positive environment.
