Join Pax8 as a Regional Financial Accountant (EMEA) and make a meaningful difference in a fast‑scaling global organisation. This Farnborough‑based role requires regular office attendance – on site 3 days each week to work closely with the finance team, stakeholders and auditors, and to embed into day‑to‑day operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis and commentary.
- Ensure accurate month‑end close activities – journals, accruals, prepayments, revenue recognition, intercompany transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support statutory and regulatory reporting for regional entities (VAT, corporate tax inputs, local compliance submissions).
- Support year‑end processes including audit preparation, adjustment books, audit queries and liaison with external auditors.
- Uphold financial controls, ensuring regional adherence to global accounting policies and procedures, including robust balance sheet reconciliations and timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Continuously review the efficiency and accuracy of regional accounting processes and propose improvements. Support system development, automation and standardisation.
- Leverage financial data to recommend improvements that support scale and regional consistency.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience across multi‑entity or multi‑region environments.
- Strong technical accounting capability and substantial financial accounting experience.
- Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and regional EMEA standards.
- A fully qualified accounting certification.
- A track record in improving and automating processes.
- Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Exposure to tools such as FloQast, Power BI or similar finance systems is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to simplify complex information.
- Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with curiosity for AI‑enabled finance tools.
