We are seeking a skilled Community Engagement Advisor to support stakeholder and community engagement activities for a major infrastructure initiative in Western Sydney. In this role, you will help shape and implement engagement activities that support the smooth planning and delivery of a major project. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders to offer guidance, build strong connections, and ensure all consultation is conducted openly, inclusively, and with a clear focus on meaningful outcomes. CreekConnect – Supporting Western Sydney’s Growth! Be part of a large-scale, long-term joint venture between Seymour Whyte and Jacobs, awarded by Sydney Water as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) project. As the region expands, so does the need for sustainable and resilient water solutions. The Upper South Creek Network will feature new wastewater pumping stations and gravity carriers, with the first work stage beginning before the year's end. The project also emphasises safety, digital engineering, and compliance with the latest standards, ensuring it meets future needs effectively. About the Role: Support the preparation and delivery of community and stakeholder engagement plans, along with clear and professional communication materials Assist with stakeholder and community interactions across multiple channels, ensuring accurate and compliant record-keeping Build and maintain constructive on-site relationships, providing initial guidance on engagement enquiries and feedback Contribute to identifying emerging community or stakeholder issues and support actions to minimise potential impacts Represent organisational values in all engagement activities and help reinforce a customer-focused culture Assist with reporting requirements, support continuous improvement processes, and contribute to maintaining a positive organisational profile About you: Minimum 5 years’ experience in community and stakeholder engagement, with knowledge of or training in IAP2 principles Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, sustainability, environmental management, urban planning, engineering or related social sciences Demonstrated experience working on infrastructure projects, ideally during construction or delivery phases Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organisational abilities with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capability Proactive, positive mindset with a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement Full driver’s licence, with regular travel to sites across Western Sydney required Company Benefits: Health & Wellbeing – discounted health insurance, seasonal vaccinations, wellness discounts, fertility benefit and employee assistance program (EAP) Time for life / Work life balance – birthday leave, purchased leave program, paid parental leave and flexible work arrangements Financial wellbeing – competitive remuneration, annual performance bonuses, salary continuance insurance and employee share program Career development – training, mentoring programs, and leadership development program Many of our projects are not accessible via public transport and require travel between and within active construction sites.
