Key Responsibilities
At Haileybury, we are leading the way in redefining education and are seeking an innovative and people focused professional to join the Finance team, based at Keysborough.
The finance team supports Melbourne's four campuses (Keysborough, Berwick, Brighton, and City), the Victorian online campus Haileybury Pangea, and Haileybury Rendall School in Darwin. This role ensures the timely and accurate maintenance of financial accounts in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, and oversees budget, month-end, and year-end financial processes.
* Financial Reporting and Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, manage expense cards, review creditor payment files, reconcile balance sheet accounts, manage capital works reconciliation, prepare monthly and annual financial reports, ensure readiness for audits, and prepare government financial reports.
* Budgeting:
o Prepare and revise budgets, assist budget holders with budget analysis and management, and produce monthly department reports.
* Tax Compliance and Cash Management:
o Ensure correct GST treatment, complete BAS and FBT returns, manage cash flow and banking, conduct ad hoc financial analysis, and maintain finance policies and.

About You
At Haileybury we are seeking exceptional people. We are looking for a team player who brings the following skills and experience:
* Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children
* 3+ years of financial accounting experience
* Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in data entry
* Experience working in a school and familiarity with Synergetic
* Bachelor’s Degree in accounting (Commerce or Business)
* CPA or CA
