We are currently recruiting for a Commis Chef to join our team at one of our conference venues in Leamington Spa, CV32 6RN.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours a week, 5 over 7, on a rota basis. There will be an occasional requirement for overtime which will be given back as time off in lieu. The venue is easily commutable from Warwick, Leamington Spa, Coventry, and the surrounding areas, including Solihull, Nuneaton, and Stratford-upon-Avon.

We are looking for a hardworking Commis Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team at this busy and exciting site. Our chefs enjoy full autonomy to create fresh, cooked-from-scratch menus every day using seasonal ingredients. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a variety of services, including breakfast buffets for around 120 guests, lunch buffets with salad bars, main courses, and desserts for up to 300 covers, private dining events, and seasonal outdoor catering serving street-style foods such as BBQ, smoking, pizza, and hog roasts.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven Commis Chef to develop their skills and grow within a dynamic, supportive team.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Have experience working in a similar role and environment
2. Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
3. Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
4. Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
5. Have excellent customer service and social skills
6. Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
7. Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 6
8. Be customer focused
9. Have basic food knowledge
10. Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
