Job Title: Accounts Assistant / Accounts & Administration Assistant

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 (DOE)

Interaction Recruitment are proud to be supporting a well-established and growing business in their search for an Accounts Assistant to join their team in Peterborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organised individual who enjoys working across finance, administration, and customer service within a busy office environment. You’ll be supporting the finance function while also assisting with general administrative and customer-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
2. Posting receipts and payments to the cashbook
3. Performing bank reconciliations
4. Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
5. Managing credit control reporting and liaising with internal teams
6. Assisting with payment runs
7. Supporting stock takes and inventory checks
8. Handling supplier and customer queries
9. Providing general administrative support across the office
Applications are welcome from individuals with the following skills and experience:
10. Previous experience in an accounts role in the UK OR relevant accounting qualification (AAT or similar)
11. Strong numerical and analytical skills
12. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
13. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
14. Confident communicator with a professional approach
15. Strong organisational and time management skills
16. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
17. Must live within a commutable distance to Peterborough
Desirable (Not Essential)
18. Experience with accounting systems such as Sage 200
19. Understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger, and stock control processes
