Primary SEND Teaching Assistants
* Job Type: Supply (Short-term/Long-term, potential for permanent)
* Location: Maidstone and Medway areas, covering all of Kent
* Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, School Hours

We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants who specialise in supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These opportunities are available across a variety of schools in the Maidstone and Medway areas, with the potential to cover all of Kent. Our roles offer both short-term and long-term supply, with the possibility of transitioning to permanent positions for the right candidates.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Support pupils with special needs such as autism, ADHD, complex needs, and sensory impairments (hearing and visual).
* Assist in the delivery of tailored educational activities and lessons planned by the teacher.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all pupils.
* Facilitate communication between pupils and staff.
* Monitor and support the progress and well-being of pupils.
* Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in a SEND setting.
* Familiarity with the challenges and strategies related to supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, complex needs, and sensory impairments.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Patience, understanding, and the ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
* A commitment to the development and education of children with special needs.
