What the Role Involves
* Operating Industrial Sewing Machines and Technical Equipment
You will operate and monitor industrial sewing machines, learning how the machines perform and ensuring they run efficiently throughout your shift. You will develop confidence in setting up, running and maintaining smooth workflow on your allocated equipment.
* Maintaining High Production Standards
You will be responsible for both output and quality, ensuring that all stitched products meet required specifications while keeping production levels consistent. Precision and attention to detail are essential.
* Checking Quality and Reporting Issues
You will carry out essential quality checks, complete reporting tasks accurately, and quickly inform your supervisor of any issues, defects or concerns affecting production or product quality.
* Keeping Work Areas Safe and Organised
A clean and tidy workspace is vital. You will follow all health and safety guidelines and ensure your machines and surrounding work areas remain safe, well‑maintained and properly organised.
* Working as Part of a Tight‑Knit Team
While you will operate your own machine, you are part of a wider production team working towards shared output targets. Clear communication, reliability and teamwork are key to achieving daily goals.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Previous sewing experience or machine operating experience is essential. * Experience within technical textiles or a manufacturing environment is highly desirable. * High level of physical fitness to meet the demands of a fast‑paced production setting. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Good communication skills and a proactive approach to workload. * Flexibility to work rotating shifts and reliable transport to attend both shift patterns.
