Associate Product Manager (Goods for Resale) Full Time | Permanent PPG | Birstall Role Purpose: To support the development and execution of the Goods for Resale ( GfR ) product portfolio and supplier base, contributing to sales growth, margin delivery and effective market activity. This role bridges operational coordination and commercial product management, ensuring product initiatives, supplier activity, and promotional plans are delivered smoothly into the market. The Associate Product Manager will work closely with the wider commercial, marketing, supply chain and sales teams, providing product expertise, supplier liaison and commercially focused support across managed categories. Key Responsibilities : Support delivery of sales, margin and profit targets across a defined range of GfR products, suppliers or channels. Manage day-to-day supplier engagement, ensuring effective communication, product support, documentation and ranging activity. Coordinate the execution of new product launches, promotional activity and seasonal initiatives, working closely with Supply Chain, Marketing and Commercial teams. Maintain accurate product, pricing and compliance data across internal systems, ensuring consistency and adherence to company procedures. Provide commercially focused analysis and insight on product performance, highlighting risks, opportunities and recommended actions. Support category planning and review activity through data preparation, market intelligence and supplier input. Take ownership of assigned projects or growth initiatives, managing timelines, actions and cross-functional delivery. Act as a key point of product expertise for internal stakeholders, including field sales teams and customer-facing functions. Ensure all managed product areas meet relevant legislative, safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., labelling, WEEE). Remain flexible and responsive to evolving business priorities, supporting continuous improvement across the GfR portfolio. Skills & Experience: Strong customer and commercial awareness with an interest in product and category development. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams. Confident communicator, able to engage professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Analytical mindset, comfortable working with sales, margin and product performance data. Ability to influence and coordinate across teams without direct authority. Degree level education or equivalent relevant experience in product, commercial, supply chain or marketing environments. Strong PC literacy, particularly Excel and business systems. Good written and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare summaries and recommendations.
