The Role: Assist the finance team in the operational financial management systems and management of all aspects of the project finances. Accounts payable tasks covering all aspects of the purchase ledger and subcontractor ledger.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist finance team and liaise with Procurement and Commercial Functions to establish robust accounting processes for expenditure on a "cost recoverable" project to ensure application costs are auditable by the clients Project
* Manager to ensure there are no disallowable costs.
* Process purchase invoices under three-way matching
* Submitting bi -weekly payment runs for approval
* Monthly subcontractors' payment processing
* Supplier queries and statement reconciliation
* Maintaining finance inbox and manage any post
* Assist with the month end close and reporting
* Assist with the year-end audit and liaising with our auditors on area of responsibility
* Ensure recharges from Mace to MDJV are accurate and reconciled
* Maintain fixed asset register
* Performing ad hoc queries and duties where required
Technical Competencies:
* Knowledge of Accounting and Finance practice, ideally within the Construction industry
* Highly IT literate, strong Excel skills
* Attention to detail
* Experience in Joint Ventures
* Worked under an NEC contract
* Coins accounting software
* Oracle
Qualifications:
* Strong grades at GCSE (A*- C and must include English and Maths)
* A Levels or equivalent
* Minimum of 1 year finance experience
* AAT
* Newly qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
