About the role:
As a UK Nuclear Fuel Commercial Manager, you will manage customer relationships and support the identification and development of new growth opportunities across the UK within the existing operating fleet, and future new build projects including large-scale, SMR, and Advanced Reactors. The NFSM will support the creation and maintenance of customer relationships with UK and global customers, including business development, identifying new sales opportunities, developing bid proposals, and negotiating contracts.
You will report to the Nuclear Fuels UK Senior Commercial Manager and be located at Springfield.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead business development activities for assigned customers, including developing new contacts, understanding customer needs, identifying solutions, presenting value propositions, leading sales meetings, bids, and contract negotiations. Set challenging but achievable targets for the team.
2. Negotiate with clients until final contract signature, ensuring teamwork and alignment with relevant Westinghouse teams such as Global Markets, Solutions Management, Product Management, Operations, Legal, Finance, and supporting organizations.
3. Oversee customer order fulfillment, ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with contract requirements and meeting customer commitments.
4. Collaborate across the business to support the development of the UK growth strategy and customer account plans, and develop an understanding of market and industry developments.
5. Develop strong customer relationships with assigned clients.
6. Support resolution of customer problems and commercial disputes.
7. Determine appropriate contract strategies for complex contracts.
8. Support pricing and operating profit targets in commercial offers and the internal governance process.
9. Manage commercial and financial activities, including marketing, pricing, contract terms, expenditures, orders, sales, margins, and bid/no-bid decisions.
10. Manage opportunities and data within the customer relationship management tool.
11. Require 10-12 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a commercial role.
12. Understanding of nuclear fuel products and supply chains is desirable but not essential.
13. Ability to build presentations and deliver to stakeholders.
14. Good literacy skills and evidence of quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
15. Ability to travel.
16. Enthusiastic, positive team player committed to continuous improvement.
17. Adherence to all safety, quality, risk, and security procedures and standards.
