Working both as part of a team and individually, the Laboratory Technician undertakes effective, pertinent product development to maintain or improve performance while focusing on sustainability, and safe handling for the end user. All development work is conducted in line with ISO9001, ISO14001 and internal processes to ensure customer and compliance requirements are met. Sitting within the Sika UK R&D function, the Sika Redditch development team contributes to maintaining and improving the performance of Sika Ucrete flooring systems. Our aim is to contribute towards maintaining our position as global market leader with special emphasis on product sustainability. Sika Ucrete: Market leading, high performance, industrial resin flooring systems based on hybrid polyurethane/ polyurea technology. In the UK, Sika has offices in Welwyn Garden City, Preston, Leeds, Wishaw, and Redditch. The Opportunity: Working both individually and as part of the development team, you will undertake product development projects in line with the company's global marketing strategy, keeping to agreed timescales, reporting findings, and actively contributing to discussions during project reviews. You will assist in the transfer of new products from development to production, actively taking part in application and production trials of new and / or modified formulations. Other, occasional requirements such as complaint and /or technical service investigations and providing cover in the QC laboratory when needed.
