Swansea Neath Port Talbot Community Advice Network (SNPTCAN) is a partnership of local advice centres that provide free advice and support.

The advice centres work together through SNPT CAN to ensure that residents of Swansea and Neath Port Talbot have access to free, high quality advice on welfare benefits, debt, housing, health and other areas of social welfare law.

SNPTCAN - Senior Project Administrator

Salary: £29,959 to £33,482 per annum pro rata

Hours: 21 Hours per week (ideally Wednesday – Friday)

Contract: fixed term position for 6 months

Location: Swansea Law Clinic at Swansea University Singleton Campus with some opportunities for remote working

The Senior Project Administrator is responsible for supporting the Project Director as part of a project team with the administration of the SNPTCAN project at Swansea university.

SNPTCAN is a direct online referral system embedded in the community, with over 100 diverse organisations (schools, advice providers, third sector organisations, local authority teams and housing associations) being signed up to the system and referring clients to one another. They have secured funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to continue to build on the system’s success.

The post-holder will be providing administrative support to deliver the project, getting advice and support agencies in the Swansea Neath Port Talbot and Carmarthenshire areas talking to each other, through the use of the online referral system. The aim is to improve the coordination of the area’s advice organisations by facilitating better referral pathways for clients/service users.

The role will involve a diverse range of administrative functions including the administration of project plans, engaging and communicating with stakeholders, overseeing/assisting budgets, monitoring and reporting, data input and providing administrative support at the different stages of the project: implementation, planning, delivery and project closure.

The responsibilities will include dealing with and resolving a wide range of matters, which will often be confidential, sensitive or urgent, exercising sound judgement with respect to the most appropriate course of action.
