About the Service
Our Targeted CAMHS service provides early intervention and evidence‑based psychological therapies to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. We work closely with schools, GPs, social care, and voluntary sector partners to support young people and families within their communities.
About the Role
As a qualified CBT therapist you will deliver evidence‑based CBT interventions to children, young people and their families presenting with anxiety disorders, low mood and trauma‑related presentations. You will hold a clinical caseload, co‑complete assessments, work collaboratively with partner agencies and support service development within Targeted CAMHS.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Post Graduate Diploma Hi‑intensity CBT qualification
* Clinical experience working with children and young people within a mental health setting
* Knowledge of core CBT models and techniques, including formulation, behavioural experiments, cognitive restructuring and graded exposure
* Experience of delivering evidence‑based CBT interventions to support a range of mental health presentations
* Excellent knowledge of UK safeguarding legislation, guidance and responsibilities
* Competence in identifying, assessing and managing clinical risk, including self‑harm and safeguarding concerns
* Ability to deliver inclusive and culturally sensitive practice
* Demonstrate a compassionate, caring, and empathetic approach when working with children, young people and families
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
