The role
You will advise on a diverse range of commercial property matters for SMEs, founder-led businesses and high-growth companies across a range of sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising landlords, tenants and business occupiers on a wide range of leasehold matters, including the negotiation of new leases, renewals, licences, assignments and related property agreements
- Acting on the acquisition and disposal of commercial property assets, managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion
- Supporting corporate transactions by advising on the real estate aspects of acquisitions, disposals, investments and group restructurings
- Providing practical and commercially focused advice on day-to-day property management issues, including lease interpretation, service charge disputes, dilapidations and occupational matters
- Taking ownership of transactions, coordinating with clients, agents, lenders and other professional advisers to ensure matters progress efficiently and smoothly
- Developing strong client relationships and becoming a trusted adviser to businesses as they grow and evolve
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Corporate, Commercial, Employment, Intellectual Property and Data Protection teams to deliver seamless, joined-up advice
- Contributing to business development initiatives and helping to raise the firm's profile through networking, client events, marketing activity and relationship-building opportunities
About you
- 5+ years’ PQE with strong commercial property experience
- Comfortable managing your own caseload and client relationships with an appropriate degree of autonomy
- Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and client service
- An interest in business development and contributing to the continued growth of the practice
