We're providing our businesses with apetitive edge by leveraging public cloud scale and enabling new infrastructure economics. As the Cloud Engineering Lead - Public Cloud Observability - SVP you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our public cloud strategy.
You will be part of a team that continues to deliver big! From building cloud base High Performancepute (HPC) platform to run huge risk calculation, enabling Citi to leverage GenAI at scale, all the way to enabling payments solutions, this team is at the forefront of innovation.
What You'll Do
1. Lead the Charge: own the Public Cloud Foundations - Observability strategy and its execution, enabling Citi's secure and enterprise-scale adoption of public cloud. You will provide technical authority for all foundational services.
2. Build and Inspire: lead and grow a team of deeply technical cloud specialists and full-stack software developers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
3. Innovate and Automate: drive client satisfaction and business value by identifying and developing process improvement and automation initiatives.
4. Partner and Collaborate: establish partnerships across the broader Citi technology landscape to align with business growth initiatives and priorities.
5. Engineering Excellence: define measurable success criteria and routinely assess service availability and reliability.
6. Championpliance: drivepliance with applicable standards, policies, and regulations, always assessing risk with Citi's reputation, clients, and assets in mind.
Who You Are
You are a talented leader with a proven track record of engineering leadership, a deep expertise in public cloud, and a passion for engineering best practices. You have:
7. Cloud Engineering Expertise: A deep understanding of public cloud services adoption at scale. Expert-level understanding of AWS/GCP Observability across: Proficiency in working with cloud-native APIs from AWS ( AWS Config, CloudWatch) and GCP ( Cloud Asset Inventory, Cloud Monitoring) Experience with Python to automate API integrations and data workflows Experience working with structured data pipelines ( JSON ingestion, normalization, tagging, enrichment) Experience with container technologies (Docker) and Kubernetes platforms ( EKS, GKE, OpenShift) Experience integrating inventory data with CMDB platforms Familiarity with NoSQL databases
8. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Hands On Expertise: demonstrable experience with the following: Programming Languages: Python and Go. CI/CD: Terraform, Harness, Tekton, Jenkins, etc. Testing Automation: Terratest, Cucumber, PytestBD, AWS Fault Injection Simulator (FIS), Chaos Mesh, etc Experience deploying and operating infrastructure on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP)
9. Agile and DevOps Mindset: familiarity with Agile Development, DevOps, and SRE practices.
10. Adaptability: demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements
11. Strategic Thinking: experience evaluatingplex requirements and rationalizing them into a consistent service offering.
12. Excellentmunication: the ability to effectivelymunicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
13. Leadership Experience: a proven track record of managing a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing Engineering team.
