Electrician
Location: HMP Littlehey- West Perry Huntingdon - PE28 0SR
Salary: £40,579.20 inclusive of allowances + 5% shift allowance
Contract: Full Time - Permanent - 39 hours per week
We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Littlehey, a Category C Adult/Male prison.
About the role
As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, other Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment for all.
Key responsibilities
* Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems across the facility.
* Support planned and preventive maintenance operations.
* Work safely and in compliance with health & safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other maintenance staff to support smooth operations.
Qualifications and experience
* Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S). For example: 2367 or 2357.
* Two years’ experience working in a role as a fully qualified electrician
* Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
* Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
