Salford Children's Speech & Language Therapy Service is looking to recruit a creative and flexible Speech and Language Therapist to work as part of our schools team. You will be part of a friendly, experienced department who work closely with families and partner agencies to support children and young people's speech, language, and communication needs.
We have a well-established service providing a 'balanced system' across Salford, delivering universal, targeted, and specialist levels of support. This role involves delivering clinical interventions in primary schools, high schools, clinics, and supporting our training programs for schools, parents/carers, and colleagues.
The post holder will receive supervision, support, and mentoring from a range of experienced SLTs across the service.
Main duties:
1. To deliver universal, targeted, and specialist clinical work as part of the Speech and Language Therapy Schools Team.
2. To assess and diagnose conditions and to plan and implement specialist Speech and Language Therapy programmes of care and treatment, discharging appropriately using evidence-based practice.
3. To work collaboratively with parents, carers, and educators to support children with a range of communication needs.
4. To demonstrate clinical effectiveness through evidence-based practice and outcome measures.
5. To be able to travel to different sites as required by the service.
