Accountable for all functional support for Control and Instrumentation Engineering activities in the UK Capital Project Programme as part of the UK Capital Projects Team. Ensures equipment and systems are suitably specified to meet all project requirements. Acts as the focal point for the project for resolution of all control and instrumentation engineering queries and clarifications. Supports all design, construction and commissioning activities required for the successful completion of UK Capital Projects.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the Control and Instrumentation Engineering Aspects of the UK Capital Projects scope.
* Ensuring that Engineering Technical Standards, safety management standards, maintainability, operability, and integrity are achieved through the delivery of the project scope.
* Ensure new technologies are leveraged where appropriate to improve project outcomes.
* Partner with other business functions to support and implement standards effectively and whilst managing risk.
* Ensure engineering work is controlled in accordance with engineering arrangements and that all Legal, Regulatory, Contractual, COMAH and Governance obligations are met.
* Working across multiple contractor and supplier delivery scopes, ensuing relevant KPIs and best practice are met and implemented.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Preferred bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline and ideally a Chartered Engineer.
* Capital project delivery experience in contracting and operating companies.
* Integrated control and shutdown systems delivery.
* Manage obsolescence mitigation programme.
