This company is a UK-based IPP that are one of the leading flexible energy providers, powering the journey to net zero with a bold mix of innovation and expertise. Operating across flexible generation, battery storage, renewables and energy trading, the business plays a pivotal role in balancing the grid and making clean power accessible when it’s needed most. With a rapidly expanding portfolio, they have the potential to generate over 900MW of power.
They are now looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team.
The Role
* Lead and develop a team of Operations Engineers, ensuring safety and efficiency.
* Oversee operation, maintenance and repair of flexible power generation assets.
* Prioritise health and safety for yourself, team, and site operations.
* Optimise plant availability, minimise downtime and support complex maintenance.
* Monitor performance, manage reporting and implement improvements.
* Coordinate with contractors, support site handovers and ensure compliance with policies.
* Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
1. A detailed understanding of MWM, MTU, Jenbacher or CATERPILLAR gas engine management and control systems, and operation and maintenance of such plants
