Hays is working with a well-established and respected organisation based in Evesham. With a strong reputation, the company is seeking a dedicated Purchase Ledger Clerk to join its Accounts department on a part-time basis.
Your new role
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a key role in the finance team. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders
2. Posting stock and miscellaneous purchase invoices to Sage
3. Liaising with the Purchasing department and suppliers to resolve queries
4. Processing month-end supplier payment runs and uploading for approval
5. Handling ad hoc supplier payments throughout the month
6. Reconciling supplier statements and the USA transport spreadsheet
7. Providing cover and assistance in other finance-related tasks as needed
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A full driving licence
* Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role
* Proficiency in Sage 200 and Microsoft Office
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
