Dental Health Educator – Designed to Smile
This role will be a key facilitator for the Designed to Smile programme within the North Wales Community Dental Service. The post holder will work with schools, community and health and social care providers to deliver oral health promotion across a range of settings.
Working at the Abergele Health Centre (Abergele). Band 5 – 37.5 hours per week for 42 weeks. The role is full‑time, entry level, in the community dental service.
Responsibilities
* Introduce and facilitate oral health promotion programmes in nurseries, schools, the community, care homes, health and other settings.
* Support and promote the work of the North Wales Community Dental Service and provide information about access to General Dental Services.
* Represent the North Wales Community Dental Service in educational, health, care and community settings, projecting professional practice.
* Partner with schools and health and social care providers in the community.
Qualifications and Experience
* GDC registered (essential).
* Oral Health Educator or Special Care Certificate (essential).
* Fluoride Varnish Applicator Certificate (desirable).
* Experience delivering training (essential).
