Overview

Relief Mobile Library Driver / Assistant - LGV | 8807 | Variable Hours Contract | £13.69 per hour (Scale E) | Norfolk

We would like to hear from LGV Class C or C+E and C1 drivers who would like to join our relief register. We operate an internal relief register for drivers who fill in for our regular staff providing cover for our Mobile library service on an as and when required and available basis. Please note a category C1 licence is not acceptable for this post.


Responsibilities

* Check the vehicle and ensure it is well stocked.
* Follow the route timetable for the day.
* Serve the public, help customers choose books from the vehicle, and assist with information requests to deliver excellent customer service across the community.


Qualifications and Skills

* Essential: LGV - Class C or C+E driving licence and Driver Qualification Card.
* Note: Category C1 licence is not acceptable for this post.
* Ability to work on own initiative and be well organized with enthusiasm for providing a service.
* Basic computer skills and some cash handling experience.
* GCSE level education or equivalent or relevant experience; basic computer/keyboard skills required.


Location and Working Arrangements

Currently Mobile Libraries operate from Dersingham, East Dereham and Hethersett. When applying, please indicate which locations you would be happy to work from. A flexible approach to working arrangements is essential as evenings and late afternoons will be needed. Hybrid working and remote connectivity considerations are noted for the organisation.
