Overview
NG Teach are working with a number of schools across Nottingham who are looking to appoint SEN teaching assistants. These contracts vary in length, some being part time and some being full time.
Responsibilities
* Work with SEN pupils in 1:1 or classroom settings
* Lead 1:1 sessions with challenging pupils as part of a team
* Be adaptable and willing to undertake a range of tasks
* Inspire and motivate pupils to improve their education and engagement
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive learning environment
* Some positions may involve giving personal care to a certain degree for the right candidate
* Safeguarding and other SEN qualifications or certificates are desirable but not essential
Qualifications
* Experience working 1:1 or in a classroom with SEN pupils
* A strong understanding of Autism and the complex needs of students with Autism
* The desire to inspire and motivate pupils
* Adaptability and willingness to undertake a range of tasks
* Ability to work as part of a team and also lead 1:1 sessions with challenging pupils
* Strong will and determinism to make a difference to the lives and education of these pupils
* These posts involve working with pupils aged 4-18; safeguarding and SEN qualifications are desirable but not essential
