Overview
Senior Design Engineer – Bristol. Salary £45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Hybrid + EAP + Benefits. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a leading UK player in its field. You will be working in a high performing Design team, overseeing design projects from concept to completion. This role uses SolidWorks and CFD/FEA is involved.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design and development of pump product lines using SolidWorks.
* Work as part of a small, collaborative team. Oversee the full design lifecycle from concept to production.
* Participate in NPD and modification projects.
* Provide technical leadership within the engineering team.
* Perform engineering calcs and CFD (computational fluid dynamics).
* Select appropriate materials for pump construction.
* Conduct FEA.
* Develop and execute test plans for prototypes.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards.
Requirements
* BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Fluid Dynamics; MSc ideal.
* Experience with 3D modelling software (Inventor or SolidWorks).
* 5+ years experience within the pump manufacturing industry.
* Strong experience with CFD and FEA software.
* CEng status – desirable.
