Fixed Term - 1 Year
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Argyll & Bute Public Health team as a Health Improvement Lead for a one year period.
To provide effective operational management and professional leadership to a discrete team of Health Improvement staff within the overall Health Improvement Team, with responsibility for an extensive portfolio of health improvement, engagement and health inequalities work.
Provide leadership for health improvement work streams, reflecting policy and practice, which specifically address local health needs and strengthen the Argyll and Bute HSCP contribution and impact on the National Health and Wellbeing Outcomes and support the Board to deliver upon the Population Health Framework.
To influence and provide health improvement leadership within Argyll and Bute HSCP and key partner agencies in order to contribute to the strategic development and implementation of a portfolio of health improvement work streams.
The post holder will support the development of health improvement within Argyll and Bute HSCP, to raise the profile of health improvement and to deliver effective and efficient programmes of work across population groups and communities.
The post holder will provide specialist public health/health improvement expertise at an advanced level, managing resources (staff/budget) to improve service delivery and the health and wellbeing outcomes of the population
This post will work across the Argyll and Bute HSCP Area working to an agreed portfolio of work.
There will be opportunities for partnership working with other partners across Argyll & Bute.
A driving licence and experience working in a Health Improvement Lead role is essential.
