Overview
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and professional Relief Mayoral Attendant / Chauffeur to provide personal and logistical support to the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and civic parties when the Mayor’s Attendant is unavailable (including evenings and weekends).
Responsibilities
* Provide personal and logistical support to the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and civic parties.
* Use your own vehicle for the role; personal insurance policy must allow for business use.
* Carry out link van driver functions as determined by the line manager along with driving duties as required.
* Drive, collect and deliver goods to sites nationally with a company provided Luton Van (fuel and insurance provided).
* Sortation on freight into assigned routes ready for driver collection.
* Deliver customer parcels compliantly and on time.
* Complete documents accurately (paper-based and digital).
* Take delivery of goods into the warehouse in accordance with the company delivery specification and check for missing or damaged items.
* Communicate effectively with the main office regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Communicate effectively with manager to provide updates on delivery status and address any concerns or questions.
* Maintain a full and clean driving licence and meet any driving test requirements; possess relevant driving experience and, where applicable, PSV/CPC credentials as described in the post.
* Complete all deliveries into customers’ homes in a safe and professional manner.
* Be prepared to act as Master of Ceremonies, welcome guests, facilitate introductions, and escort visitors on guided tours of the Town Hall when required.
