2643 – IT Project Manager – Aberdeen
We’re excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Project Manager to join our team in Aberdeen. We’re looking for someone with a strong track record of managing large-scale, complex IT projects within enterprise environments. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering project objectives and team-specific deliverables. You’ll plan activities, execute tasks to high standards, and ensure successful outcomes.
What you’ll do
* Lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for IT projects, following the agreed framework
* Facilitate needs assessments and develop project control solutions for planning, scheduling, and tracking
* Monitor project economics, including costs, budgets, resourcing, and risks
* Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on project activities, including subcontractor management
* Ensure adherence to standards and requirements
* Manage project scope, budget, resourcing, and change risks
* Establish metrics for measuring project success
* Control operational plans and assist in training team members on procedures
* Stay updated on emerging technologies and project management techniques
* Develop control and reporting procedures, managing operational changes
* Conduct status review meetings and escalate risks/issues as needed
* Ensure project documents are complete and properly stored
* Collaborate on project proposals, contracts, estimates, and schedules
* Coach team members to meet project goals and resolve issues
* Manage stakeholder engagement and communication
What to bring
* Experience managing multiple IT projects, infrastructure or application
* Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
* Skills in project development and delivery within resource/financial constraints
* Proficiency with reporting tools and performance analysis
* Strong communication skills
* Basic knowledge of Project Online
* Knowledge of project management principles (Waterfall, Agile)
* Qualifications in methodologies like PMI, PMP, PRINCE2, MSP
* Problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Leadership and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage stakeholders and change
* Oil & Gas sector experience is advantageous
* Experience with integration projects is beneficial
