Job Role: Electronics Technician (Training Offered)
Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire
Salary: £30,000-£34,000 per annum
Hours: Monday–Friday Days, 40 hours/week

The Client
A global leader in environmental monitoring and instrumentation solutions is expanding its Service Department and seeking a Service Technician to be trained and developed within the Particle Counter and Electronic industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands‑on experience or a base understanding in calibration, diagnostics, and repair of precision instruments or electronics down to a component level looking to pursue a career in a rapidly expanding industry.
The Package

The Responsibilities
* Calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on instrumentation and particle counters
* Analyse service data to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
* Maintain accurate service records and documentation
* Communicate technical issues and resolutions to internal teams
* Report recurring service trends to support product development
* Provide on‑site service support as required (20–25% travel)
The Requirements
* 1–2 years of experience in technical service, instrumentation, or electronics
* Proficiency in Electronic Testing, Circuit Boards, PCB assembly
* Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics
* Familiarity with electronic components and basic repair techniques
* Eagerness to learn develop and grow long term, participate in training and development when necessary.
* Educated to a minimum of a NVQ Level 3 or Degree in a relevant field
* Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office and service tracking software
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
* Effective communicator across technical and non‑technical teams
* Associate degree or vocational training in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
* Full UK License
