Teaching Assistant Role at Hartlepool Free School
We wish to appoint a highly motivated and reflective Teaching Assistant to support outstanding teaching and learning at Hartlepool Free School (HFS), which provides first-rate education for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) conditions.
The successful candidate will possess energy, enthusiasm, and a belief that every young person deserves the best education and support to achieve positive outcomes. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented individual to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team. We seek someone with a caring, empathic, yet firm manner who can collaborate with classroom teachers to support our students in achieving positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting students with specific learning difficulties and SEMH challenges.
2. Undertaking training on how to support students with these challenges.
3. Collaborating with colleagues to raise achievement across all Key Stages.
4. Following schemes of work and delivering learning activities to improve literacy and numeracy.
5. Working with small groups of students to develop their learning.
6. Supporting teachers by delivering intervention plans on a one-to-one basis.
7. Acting as a key adult for students and providing pastoral support and guidance to staff.
8. Performing any other duties as required by the Senior Leadership Team.
