Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Re-manufacturing Electrical Technician to join a specialist engineering team working on the assessment, repair, and testing of electrical and electronic automotive components. This is a hands-on role where quality, precision, and problem-solving are at the heart of everything you do.
Key responsibilities
* Assessing returned products and determining repair feasibility
* Performing component-level electronic fault finding, PCB rework, and repair
* Dismantling and rebuilding units to OEM and MoD standards
* Testing assemblies to original equipment specifications
* Maintaining accurate records (job cards, BOMs)
* Supporting the wider workshop with ad-hoc activities
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience in electronic fault finding to component level
* Strong PCB rework and soldering skills
* Ability to read and interpret schematics/circuit diagrams
* Detail-oriented with a logical approach to problem-solving
* Team player with strong communication skills
* Familiarity with QHSE standards (automotive/defence background a plus)
Preferred qualifications
* HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
