SEN Science Teacher Vacancy
Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking to make a profound difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? This role is for a SEN Science Teacher on a full-time basis, working 40 hours per week. You will work within a specialist educational setting that champions an integrated and nurturing approach to learning and will help students re-engage with their education and thrive academically and personally.
The school supports young people aged 6 to 19 who have Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication needs, and sensory needs. With small class sizes and integrated therapeutic support, the environment enables specialist teaching to make a difference and helps students enjoy school life and reach their potential.
Salary: The salary for this position ranges from M1 - UPS2, £31,650 to £47,338 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality science teaching to students with SEND in an integrated therapeutic setting.
* Support students aged 6–19 to re-engage with education and progress academically and personally.
* Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and support staff to implement individual education and care plans.
* Contribute to creating an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that promotes wellbeing and progression.
Essential Criteria
* PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
* Evidence of in-service training relevant to special educational needs
