Vet Surgeon – Independent Practice in North Hampshire

The Role
* Full-time Veterinary Surgeon position within a growing small animal practice
* 4-day working week with a set day off
* Mix of consulting and surgical duties
* Varied caseload with continuity of care
* Opportunity to develop clinical interests and pursue certificates (fully supported)
* Collaborative working environment with regular case discussions
About You
* RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
* Confident managing a small animal caseload
* Comfortable working within a team-focused environment
* Keen to develop clinically, with support towards further qualifications if desired
The Practice
* Independent, rapidly expanding small animal practice
* Purpose-built, hospital-standard facilities
* Advanced equipment including laparoscopic surgical kit
* Dedicated night team providing 24/7 inpatient care (no OOH required)
* Ongoing investment in facilities, including additional theatres and imaging
* Strong reputation for both clinical standards and staff wellbeing
The Team
* Large, experienced vet team with certificate holders and advanced practitioners
* Skilled RVNs heavily involved in Schedule 3 procedures
* Dedicated night staff ensuring excellent inpatient care
* Support from visiting specialists and nearby referral centres
* Genuinely collaborative culture with clinical freedom encouraged
The Rota
* 4-day week (full-time)
* Early finish 4 out of 5 weeks
* Protected admin time and lunch breaks daily
* 1:5 weekend rota with time off in lieu
* No out-of-hours
Salary & Benefits
* £40,000 – £75,000 DOE
* 6.6 weeks holiday including bank holidays
