As a Production Manager at our fire door manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the production process to ensure efficient and high-quality output. Leading a team of production staff, you will plan, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing or woodworking industries, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch fire doors.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and workflows to meet customer demands and deadlines.
* Work closely with the management team to establish production targets and goals.
* Optimise production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
* Coordinate with other departments, such as design, engineering, and sales, to ensure smooth production flow.
* Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials, ensuring their timely availability for production.
* Implement and enforce health and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment.
* Train, mentor, and provide guidance to production staff, ensuring their development and high performance.
* Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the production team.
* Resolve production issues and coordinate solutions with cross-functional teams, such as engineering and quality control.
* Continuously assess production operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
* Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to fire door production.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or woodworking environment.
* Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and optimisation techniques.
* Familiarity with woodworking techniques, machinery, and related manufacturing processes.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate teams.
* Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve production efficiency.
* Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Proficient in using production management software/systems.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality management systems.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle production challenges effectively.
* Ability to work collaboratively and closely with cross-functional teams.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands and priorities.
