The Longs Arms is a newly Gastro Restaurant in Steeple Ashton Following an investment of over £750k, the newly renovated Longs Arms in Steeple Ashton, is looking for a truly passionate Sous Chef to help the Head Chef drive the business in identifying the venue as Best for quality and standard of food attracting guests from far and wide.
You will love cooking fresh, seasonal food and have the creativity and ability to develop new menus with the Head Chef and specials whilst flourishing in an independent environment where you will have the genuine opportunity to shape and impact the business.
The role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:
Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section.
Assisting the Head Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes.
Preparing and cooking fresh food.
Assisting with the management of health and safety.
Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices.
Managing and training team members.
Monitoring portion and waste control.
Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards.
Preferred Candidate:
An understanding of modern British dining, being from a fresh food background, be it Gastro pub, Restaurant or Hotel.
Experience managing busy kitchens, to a Rosette standard dining.
Have the desire & mentoring skills to help develop a very good quality team, and drive to push standards at all times.
Passionate about delivering top customer service.
Experience working with and supporting your local community.
We are looking for a skilled Sous Chef to help deliver our great food and assist our great team. High standards of cleanliness & standards as a Chef.
Package
Base Salary from £32900
Share of gratuities circa £5,000 per annum, paid monthly
