Band 3 HR Assistant (OD), Belfast, £12.31 per hour Your new company A public sector organisation is recruiting for a Band 3 HR Assistant based in Belfast. Your new role As a Human Resources Assistant within the Organisational Development team, you will provide essential administrative and coordination support to ensure the smooth running of key HR and training activities. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering high‑quality routine administrative support across HR functions. Maintaining effective systems, processes, and documentation to support departmental operations. Preparing reports, correspondence and documentation for senior colleagues. Supporting training and development activity, including managing e‑learning, face‑to‑face sessions and a range of organisational development programmes. Collating training needs information and contributing to monthly reports and analysis. Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, managing schedules and taking notes as required. Supporting organisational initiatives such as Investors in People and working groups. Providing professional customer service to staff, managers, and stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with internal policies, data protection requirements and best practice standards. This is a varied and people‑focused role where you will play a key part in enhancing staff development and contributing to wider HR objectives. What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you’ll need:Essential: Five GCSEs including English and Maths (A*–C), or equivalent, or a higher-level qualification. At least 18 months’ experience in an office environment carrying out administrative duties. One year’s experience using Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook or similar. Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good organisational abilities, attention to detail and a proactive approach. Desirable: Previous experience working in an HR or training environment. Experience using HR, payroll or data management systems.
