Looking for a role where you can take a senior clinical position and directly influence patient care and team performance? As an Experienced Nurse with Rushcliffe Care Group, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective care within a structured acute mental health and PICU environment.

About Rushcliffe Care Group

You will be joining Rushcliffe Care, a company with over 35 years of experience in offering the highest levels of care to our most vulnerable in society. Across our services, we support people to live safer, more fulfilling lives, with dignity, choice, and consistency at the centre of everything we do.

Our work is guided by clear values. These are not slogans. They shape how we treat people, how we work together, and what we expect from each other.

About the Role

As an Experienced Nurse, you will provide high-quality clinical care to patients with complex mental health needs within an acute hospital setting, including a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). You will take responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing patient care, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure treatment is safe, effective and recovery-focused.

The role includes managing risk, responding to incidents, and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment at all times. You will also support the leadership of the ward, guiding and mentoring junior staff, and ensuring that standards of care, documentation and communication are consistently met.

You will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team, using your clinical judgement, experience and knowledge of mental health legislation to support patient outcomes.

About You

* Registered nurse (RMN, RNLD or RGN with relevant mental health experience) with current NMC registration.
* Experience working within acute mental health or PICU settings and confident managing complex presentations, risk, and challenging behaviour.
* Calm under pressure, able to lead by example, and confident in supporting and directing others.
* Understanding the importance of structure, consistency and professional boundaries within a clinical environment.
* Clear communication, accurate record keeping and accountability for practice.

What Our Values Mean in Practice

Reputable Care

* Delivering safe, evidence‑based care in line with clinical standards and policies.
* Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records.
* Taking responsibility for clinical decisions and outcomes.

Respect and Compassion

* Treating every patient with dignity, empathy and professionalism.
* Supporting individuals to be involved in their care and recovery.
* Recognising and responding to individual needs and experiences.

Robust Communication

* Working effectively within the multidisciplinary team.
* Escalating risks, concerns and changes in presentation promptly.
* Ensuring clear and accurate handovers and documentation.

Real Commitment

* Being reliable, accountable and consistent in practice.
* Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture.
* Maintaining professional development and clinical competence.

About the Service

This is a newly developed acute mental health hospital located in Ashby De La Zouch, designed to provide high-quality inpatient care for adults with complex mental health needs. The service includes a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), supporting individuals who require higher levels of observation, risk management, and clinical intervention.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team including nursing, psychiatry, psychology and allied health professionals, working together to deliver structured, recovery-focused care in a safe and therapeutic environment.

What We Offer

* Structured induction and ongoing clinical support to ensure you are confident and effective in your role.
* Supervision, training and opportunities to develop within a growing service, including progression into leadership roles.
* Opportunity to influence how the service develops within a new environment where standards, culture and practice are actively shaped.

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which is covered by Rushcliffe Care.
