Programme Delivery
The Programme Delivery department is accountable for delivering the Capital Construction Programme. It achieves this through intelligent Totex solutions, commercial and contractual arrangements across the supply chain, and world‑class contract management processes. The department focuses on reducing cycle time, maintaining service, fostering collaboration, ensuring safety, and delivering performance against targets.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical supervision and line management of a team of Project Technicians
* Technically manage and coordinate the design and safe delivery of engineered MEICA projects within the Specialist Projects portfolio
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, acting as Principal Contractor and supporting Client & Principal Designer
* Adhere to YW Engineering specifications and documentation
* Drive high standards in health and safety, risk management, and work control to meet YW safety policy
* Apply rigorous financial management and commercial awareness to all business decisions
Qualifications
* ICA based apprenticeship, engineering degree, or equivalent
* ONC/HNC/BTEC in ICA Engineering
* Understanding of control of works – permits, POWRA, RAMS, etc.
* Knowledge of major processes and the role of MEICA equipment
* Experience with electrical and ICA equipment, producing engineered solutions to mitigate risks
* Thorough knowledge of CDM regulations and their practical application
* Understanding of design and project delivery, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and site supervision
* Ability to respond to detailed technical and non‑technical queries
* Experience working to ATEX standards and applying SI & ICA procedures (URS, SRS, P&IDs, FDS, FAT, SAT & O&Ms)
* Detailed knowledge of SI & ICA best practice and standards
* Experience optimizing SI control systems in a complex ICA technology landscape
Additional Benefits
* Experience in a regulated utility or major asset management/delivery environment

* Knowledge of SI, Automation, and Instrumentation technologies in a water utility context
* Understanding of BS7671, BS EN 61511, BS EN 13849, BS EN 62061 and other relevant legislation/standards
* Knowledge of Schneider PLC platform, Mitsubishi (IEC 61131), Allen Bradley HMI/PLC systems, and iFix SCADA
* Experience with process safety activities and documentation (Engineering Risk Assessment, Safety Reviews)
Working arrangements
Hybrid model requires an average of 1‑2 days in the office per week and work on operational sites. The office is open Monday‑Friday during working hours. On‑site work may increase for collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines.
