Randstad Education is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in central Leeds for a September 2025 start. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dedicated and supportive team, making a significant contribution to the learning and development of young children in a welcoming and inclusive Reception classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective EYFS lessons.
Providing individual and small group support to pupils, assisting with planned learning activities.
Assisting with classroom organisation and preparation, creating a stimulating learning environment.
Supporting children's social and emotional development, fostering positive relationships.
Communicating effectively with the class teacher, support staff, and parents/carers.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of pupil progress.
Adhering to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding guidelines.
Essential Criteria:
Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and patience.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A proactive and flexible approach to work.
A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Desirable Criteria:
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and curriculum.
Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3).
