UK-based, remote, part-time voluntary position. BSPHN Partnerships Director. Develop strategic collaborations to leverage behavioral science, and shape a healthier society.

Your leadership in forging strategic partnerships will directly translate into improved public sector service delivery, making a tangible difference in the health and well-being of communities across the UK. You\'ll champion the use of behavioural and social science in new sectors to create a healthier, fairer society for all, leaving a lasting legacy on the effectiveness, efficiency and equitableness of public sector service delivery in the UK, and internationally.


What are we looking for?


Essential Requirements

* Experience: Proven track record of success in building and managing strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders
* Sector Knowledge: Strong understanding of the application of behavioural science to at least one of the following; public and population health, primary or secondary or specialist clinical care, education, social care, climate and sustainability, policy.
* Management: Experience of managing small, high performing teams.
* Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and trust-based relationships with a variety of stakeholders across sectors and levels
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and represent an organisation to various audiences.
* Strategic Thinking: Proactive and strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities for collaboration aligned to organisational goals.
* Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external partners.
* Mission Alignment: Demonstrated commitment to the BSPHN\'s mission of improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and equity of public sector services through behavioural science for a healthier and fairer society.
* Education: A relevant Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent professional experience.


Desirable Requirements

* Advanced Degree: Advanced degree (e.g., Master\'s or Ph.D.) in a relevant field such as behavioural science, medicine or allied health professional, social science, public health, health policy, or a related area.
* UK Context: Experience working on projects aligned to the use of behavioural or social science within the UK health, social care, education sectors, or policy landscape.
* Advocacy Experience: Experience in advocating for policy or service reform, particularly leveraging behavioural/social science insights.
* Capacity Building: Experience supporting training, consultation, or other capacity-building initiatives related to behavioural science.
* Stakeholder Network: An established network of contacts within the UK behavioural science, public health, or policy communities.
* Professional Characteristics & Values: Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects; Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.


What will you be doing?

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced individual to serve as our Partnerships Director and play a leading role in the expansion of the BSPHN. This pivotal role will focus on building and strengthening strategic partnerships with individuals, communities, and organisations across the public, private, and third sectors. You will support a team of sector-specific Partnership Leads focussed on developing mutually beneficial relationships with individuals, communities and organisations that support our mission to place the insights and methods of behavioural and social science at the heart of attempts to understand and improve public sector service delivery.

You will be joining a friendly, supportive and motivated team working towards the goal of promoting behavioural science for a healthier, fairer society for all. The role is an excellent opportunity to build connections with a range of key stakeholders in the public, private and third sector.
