MOF Integration Scientist – Binder Optimization & Substrate Engineering Location: Dudley, UK Full-time | Immediate Start Preferred NovNat is pioneering the next generation of sustainable materials with our proprietary Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) technology. We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to support our Chief Scientific Officer in advancing the integration of our MOF onto diverse substrates. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in materials science or surface chemistry and a passion for applied research and innovation. Key Responsibilities Continue and expand current work on binder systems to improve MOF adhesion, mechanical stability, and packing density. Develop and optimize coating and integration protocols for various substrates including characterising and optimising rheological behaviour. Conduct experimental testing and characterization using techniques such as SEM, XRD, FTIR, TGA, and mechanical testing. Collaborate closely with the CSO and R&D team to translate lab-scale findings into scalable, real-world solutions. Document findings and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and IP development. What We’re Looking For MSc or PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field. Hands-on experience with binder systems (organic/inorganic). Familiarity with MOF materials and their processing is a strong plus. Proficiency in materials characterization and surface/interface analysis.
