**This role involves travelling nationwide; however, applicants must live within the West Midlands.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Door professional to join a small, well-established Fire & Security business based in Worcester. With many years of industry experience, the company specialises in the design, installation and maintenance of fire and security systems, supporting clients across the West Midlands and throughout the UK.This is a varied role combining Fire Door Inspection, Fire Door Remediation and Fire Door Installation, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across all aspects of fire door compliance and safety.What we need from you:Proven experience working within the fire door industryStrong understanding of current fire safety legislation, regulations, and standardsAbility to inspect, remediate and install fire doors to compliant standardsExperience working with communal doors, flat entrance doors, riser doors, and service cupboard doorsExcellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approachGood communication and reporting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProfessional manner when working in occupied residential and commercial propertiesHold a current UK Driving LicencePreferred Qualifications:FDIS, FIRAS, BM TRADA, or equivalent fire door qualificationsNVQ in Carpentry or Passive Fire ProtectionCSCS CardPASMA and/or IPAFWhat this role involves:As part of this position, you will be responsible for carrying out fire door inspections, completing remedial works, and undertaking new fire door installations.Your duties will include:Carrying out fire door inspections and surveysIdentifying defects and compliance issuesCompleting remedial works in line with fire safety requirementsInstalling fire doors and associated ironmongeryEnsuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and fire safety regulationsCompleting reports, photographs, and certification accuratelyMaintaining high standards of workmanship, compliance, and professionalism on siteFire Door Inspection Requirements:Inspectors must be able to identify and report:Door leaf condition, damage, and certificationFrame condition and gap tolerancesIntumescent and smoke seal complianceHinges, closers, ironmongery, and latching mechanismsGlazing complianceThreshold gapsSignage requirementsOverall fire door compliance and performanceFire Door Remedial & Installation Requirements:Operatives carrying out remedial works or installations must:Use compliant and compatible fire-rated productsFollow manufacturer specifications and installation guidanceAlways maintain fire certification integrityRecord all completed works accuratelyEnsure all doors are fully compliant upon completionSalary: Negotiable, depending on your level of experience.Hours: Working full-time hours, consisting of 8 hours on site per day, plus travelling time.Benefits:Company vehicle provided and fuel expenses coveredAnnual tool allowance of £200Uniform provided and footwear allowance5.6 weeks annual leave inclusive of bank holidaysPension schemeAccommodation and meal allowance when requiredOngoing training and development, including FIRAS certification, NVQs and specialist fire door trainingCareer progression opportunitiesOvertime and out-of-hours work paid at enhanced rates (Saturdays 1.5x, Sundays 2x, where required)Company mobile phoneAdditional annual leave entitlement after the first full year of service (up to a maximum of 5 additional days)Following successful completion of probation: Private healthcare through AXA (additional fee applies), discounted gym membership, dentist, and optician cashback, plus £25 per year towards an eye testPlease apply now!TPBN1_UKTJ
