WHAT IS INVOLVED? We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about public health, has experience of delivering or commissioning public health services and excellent interpersonal skills to engage partners in the development of health and wellbeing programmes. Public Health Practitioners are responsible for the delivery, coordination and facilitation of a range of evidence based public health programmes that build on local assets to address multiple health needs. This will include responsibility for a group of public health outcomes and process measures to achieve defined targets linked to the Public Health Outcomes Framework and mandated services which are a core function/ responsibility of Durham County Council. Required Qualifications: Applicants will be expected to hold a relevant degree, supplemented by public health improvement knowledge, acquired through training, courses and experience. or Public Health apprentices who are within 6 months of completing the public health practitioner (integrated degree) apprenticeship level 6. Take a closer look HYBRID WORKING Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
