Our client is looking for a commercially astute manager to lead operations and drive growth within the fast-paced FMCG sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in the food industry to take on a key role that directly influences business success and customer satisfaction.
This Commercial Manager role sits at the heart of our client's operations, bridging external service provider management with internal commercial strategy. You'll oversee the day-to-day running of the business whilst maintaining financial discipline through P&L review, cost of goods management and return on investment tracking. Your work directly influences customer experience and business profitability, from initial product development and pricing strategy through to promotional planning and growth initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Manage the relationship and performance of external service providers, ensuring consistent service delivery.
Review P&L statements, manage costs of goods sold and monitor return on investment.
Set menu pricing and manage promotional offers to drive revenue and customer engagement.
Source and develop new products and add-on products that align with customer demand.
Conduct horizon scanning to identify growth opportunities and emerging market trends.
Lead menu planning and development from concept through to implementation.
Maintain regular reporting to key stakeholders across the business.
Collaborate across internal teams to ensure smooth operational execution.
Who Theyre Looking for:
Proven experience working in the food industry, ideally in a fast-paced commercial environment.
Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing P&L and budgets.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all business levels, internally and externally.
Tenacity and structured approach to problem-solving and project management.
Passion for food and understanding of customer preferences and market trends.
Confidence in your ability to build relationships and influence outcomes.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
