Design Technology Teacher Location: Teesside Salary: Paid to Scale About the Role Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology (DT) Teacher to join our network of dedicated supply staff. We work with a range of secondary schools and academies who require qualified DT teachers for short-term, long-term, and permanent placements. You will be responsible for delivering engaging DT lessons across KS3 and KS4, inspiring pupils to develop practical skills, creativity, and a passion for design and technology. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons following the national curriculum. Ensure the safe and effective use of machinery and equipment in the workshop. Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment. Assess, record, and report on students’ progress. Work collaboratively with other staff to support student achievement. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at KS3 and KS4. Up-to-date Health & Safety certification for the use of machinery in schools (essential). A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
