We are looking to recruit passionate Relief Support Worker to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in the Corby Area.
Do you want to make a positive difference to people’s lives? Support Work is ideal for those who want to help but need flexibility due to other commitments. As a Relief Support Worker, you can choose shifts based on your availability and the needs of the service.
Flexibility is essential as shifts vary across mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleep-ins, and waking nights, including weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays. A positive mindset and a desire to improve the lives of individuals with learning disabilities are crucial. You should be quick-thinking and have a can-do attitude. Your role will involve providing support that enables individuals to live more independent, dignified, and happy lives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting independence: managing budgets, paying bills, housework, organizing appointments, and preparing healthy meals.
* Relationship building: helping individuals understand their environment and fostering positive relationships.
* Community & Social Inclusion: assisting individuals to access and participate in community activities and social events.
* Personal care: supporting with daily routines, medication prompts, bathing, showering, and bathroom use. Note: not all roles involve high levels of personal care.
