To find out more about our Sustainability Advisory business by clicking on the following link and discover what awaits you at WSP: Sustainability Advisory | WSP (https://www.wsp.com/en-GB/services/sustainability-strategy) - Advising and influencing stakeholders/decision makers for clients such as IKEA and National Highways - Understanding and communicating carbon policies to clients, in support of them developing their own net zero roadmaps and strategies in line with SBTi. - Leading senior stakeholder engagement workshops internally and externally - Representing WSP at industry and online events, and in thought-leadership. - Advising clients (local, regional, national and international) on how to decarbonise in line with carbon budgets and Net Zero - Innovating, championing best practice and further developing WSP's decarbonisation services, tools and methodologies - Training and upskilling staff to build a 'carbon conscious culture' - Liaising with multi-discipline teams, including Design and Natural Capital teams - Managing and contributing to large and complex proposals. YOUR TEAM You'll be part of a dynamic and growing team that: - Prepares the groundwork for organisations to be able to pursue meaningful and purpose-led strategies, including setting targets (e.g. science-based, and net zero road maps and strategies) - Liaises with multiple technical teams, including design teams, engineers and ecologists - Has great opportunities for learning, development, and progression - Have demonstrable experience in a professional business environment, for instance in consultancy or other relevant organisation; - Have a strong background in leading carbon/net zero projects for a variety of client types - Enjoy interacting with clients at senior manager and executive levels; - Have experience of delivering projects, developing strategies and implementing change in the carbon areas described above; - Possess deep applied knowledge of UK and international legislation, policy and guidance in the net zero sector - Hold relevant degree (preferably at Masters' level) - Are fully competent in conducting numerical analyses in Excel, using carbon software and digital platforms, apps and the production of concise, impactful written/presentation outputs to communicate to clients. - Strong knowledge of GHG accounting principles - Work well with a wide range of people on a global basis
