The Role
As a Technician, you’ll work collaboratively, learning and participating in the delivery of vital work to a variety of domestic and international customers.

Day-to-day, you’ll carry out first-line engineering support and helpdesk duties to ensure KPIs are met. You will also perform routine maintenance activities on site and provide a first response to technical issues on site equipment as prompted by alarms.
* Carrying out operational engineering duties on site, ensuring all prescribed KPI requirements are achieved.
* Responding to technical issues on site following basic procedures, with support from Engineers via telephone as needed.
* Supporting the engineering team in operational and technical matters.
* Maintaining technical and administrative records and providing information as required.
* Carrying out lone working in accordance with Babcock Health and Safety instructions.
* Sharing knowledge and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies and regulations, observing safe working practices, and proactively maintaining safety and health for self and others.
Please note: The successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.
This role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, based on site at Skelton.
Essential Experience of the Technician
* Knowledge of electronic principles.
* Experience working with hand and power tools.
* Knowledge of relevant health and safety rules.
* Basic understanding of data communications and networking technologies.
Qualifications for the Technician
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant technical subject.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who can achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role. Candidates may start on Standard (BPSS) clearance and then progress to Security Check (SC) and Developed Vetting (DV).
