Our client, a prominent name in the highways industry, is currently seeking a Streetworks Coordinator to join their team on a contract basis. This role entails managing and coordinating streetworks activities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and to facilitate smooth operation within the highways sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and coordinating streetworks activities to minimise disruption
Liaising with local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders
Ensuring all works comply with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and associated legislation
Managing and maintaining accurate records of all streetworks activities
Monitoring and reporting on the progress of streetworks projects
Handling any public enquiries and complaints related to streetworks
Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Providing guidance and support to contractors and internal teams
Job Requirements:
Experience in streetworks coordination, particularly within the highways sector
Strong knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA)
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in using relevant IT systems and software
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
