Position: Art Teacher
Location: Lancaster
Start Date: October 2025
Contract: 4 days per week, Fixed-term until February Half Term 2026
We are looking to appoint a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our secondary school team from October until February half term. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and engage pupils through high-quality teaching and a passion for the arts.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the school curriculum.
Foster creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills in pupils.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment opportunities within the Arts.
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or be a recognised ECT.
Have experience teaching Art at secondary level.
Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Art education.
Be able to motivate, challenge, and inspire students of all abilities.
Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider life of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
